An environmental education centre should be a platform where people can come into contact with and feel the environment; it should be a place that helps people rediscover their natural instincts and their connection with Mother Earth. The project is located on Yim Tin Tsai — formerly a small village that depended on the salt-field industry, now a remote island near Sai Kung. Built in rammed earth, the project aims to offer visitors a semi-outdoor experience, inspiring them to form their own interpretation of nature rather than being force-fed a mass of information.
